Costa Rica: September
After only a week at Anamaya, I could not feel more settled and at home. Costa Rica is literally paradise on earth and that is really saying something considering it is currently the rainy season! Granted, all the locals say it is one of the driest Septembers they have seen in years, but it is even more spectacular when the sun shines.
There is no white sand and postcard perfect beaches here, the coastline is rugged and raw, but for me, this is where Costa Rica’s beauty lies. I love that the beaches are backed by rainforest, I can see monkeys out my window, and my morning swim is in a waterfall not a swimming pool.
The town of Montezuma is more surf shops and hostels than fancy hotels, and as a result the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. There is a very chilled way of life here, making it an ideal destination for surfers, yogis and those looking to unwind.
I am so excited to start my YTT in October - the girls doing it at the moment are busy and exhausted, but glowing! From what they've told us I think it is going to be an incredibly exciting and transformational journey. Things might be pretty quiet on the blog front as I will be studying hard, but I'll do my best to keep it ticking along. In the meantime, here are a few photos of where I've been and what I've been up to....
